Brand new course: Fundamentals of Transfer PricingA brand new and completely revised course dealing with the fundamentals of transfer pricing is now available for booking. Led by the two leaders of Mazars transfer pricing team, Ken Aland and David Sayers, this course is ideal if you are new to transfer pricing or just in need of a refresher. It is a practical, hands-on introduction to the most significant international tax risk facing multinational businesses. The course covers the technical foundations that you need to know and shows how to apply them to real life scenarios. It will help you to identify and prioritise transfer pricing risks, develop a transfer pricing policy and prepare appropriate documentation. Case studies and practical examples are used throughout the course, drawing on the wealth of experience of the presenters. This course is also an ideal introduction to the topic if you are planning to take the new transfer pricing option in paper 3 of the Advanced Diploma in International Tax. New courses: CIOT's Advanced Diploma in International TaxAll participants to our course for the US option in paper 3, which requires students to show an understanding of an international tax system other than their own, passed the exam in 2009. One participant won the prize for the highest mark given. In 2010 we'll be offering courses for paper 1, principles of international tax, and the US, EC and China options in paper 3. Our tutors include Dennis Weber and Ben Terra, whose book forms part of the recommended reading for the study course. See full details. New membership structure for 2010We've revised our membership structure for 2010 to provide even better benefits. There are two new categories. "Bronze" membership is for single practitioners or students of international tax. All the benefits are the same, except you can't transfer them to anyone else. At the other end of the scale, "Platinum" membership allows any firm, group, alliance or network with a single cost centre to offer benefits to all staff covered by that centre. You can name up to 15 members but benefits can be transferred to all staff - and everyone can attend roundtables (space permitting, of course). In between, the current "individual" membership becomes "Silver" and allows you to name up to three people as members and "Gold" allows up to eight. See the membership section for full details of benefits and to join. |
